Carvacrol, which is present in quantities of 65%, and thymol, which is present in amounts of 3.4%, are two phenol chemicals that contribute to its special quality. It is regarded as a hot oil and a great herb for treating swollen gums.

Use 1 teaspoon in mouth and let it melt first. Vigorously swish and pull in-between the teeth. The oil will become thinner which means it is ready to be discarded. Spit the oil into the trash to avoid clogging sink.

Rinse mouth with warm water.
