Why We Started Weluxia

The mainstream oral care industry has long prioritised convenience over biology. Conventional toothpastes and mouthwashes are formulated with harsh surfactants, synthetic antibacterials, and artificial additives that disrupt the very microbial environment they claim to protect.

As functional medicine practitioners, we saw the downstream consequences of this approach in clinical practice persistent gum inflammation, weakened enamel, and disrupted oral flora linked to broader systemic health concerns.

This is the same calcium phosphate compound that makes up human tooth enamel not a synthetic substitute, but a bioidentical mineral with decades of clinical research behind it.

Oral microbiome preservation The oral microbiome is your first line of immune defence. We formulate without sodium lauryl sulphate, triclosan, alcohol, synthetic antibacterials, and other agents known to disrupt microbial balance. Instead, we include prebiotics and botanicals that nourish a diverse, thriving microbial community.
